I. STORYBOARDING & MESSAGE QUALITY

  • How compelling and meaningful is the story or message your experience or game conveys? 
  • Does it address the themes of civility, online safety, and/or well-being?

 

II. POTENTIAL IMPACT

  • What is the potential impact of your game or experience? 
  • How does it educate and empower players to navigate the online world safely and responsibly? 
  • Does it have the potential to promote positive change in online behavior and attitudes?

 

III. PROSOCIAL DESIGN

  • The game must showcase a prosocial design intervention or game design element that promotes positive prosocial interaction. Areas of interest to explore include Cooperation, Promoting Rules & Norms, Support, Social Connection, Helping, or Teaching 

 

IV. GAME BASED LEARNING

  • Does the game create an immersive experience in which a player can learn and practice new skills? 
  • Are the game mechanics directly inspired by the subject matter, going beyond simple quiz mechanics? 
  • Is it something that the target audience will actually want to play?


V. PROGRESS & POLISH

  • Are the main game loop and core mechanics playable, engaging, and bug free? 
  • Are new players onboarded with minimal friction and confusion?
